Why we’re better
PROS & CONS OF MY SERVICE
THE “BAD”:
I’m not competing at the bottom of the price pool (pun intended). I’m pricey on purpose (not the most pricey…but up there). Why? Because I stack the quality and services higher rather than lower the price and offer less quality and service.
I ask more than other companies. It’s not enough just to have a pool and equipment to service. I need to know that if something is essential and broken, you’ll pay to fix it. Seems rational, but a lot of pool companies don’t even require that.
THE GOOD:
I will ONLY ask you to pay for essential repairs.
I dose chemicals to the decimal point to balance your water with precision. No one else is that exact. You don’t pay for extra chems, and balanced water means less work for me in the long run.
I have fewer pools in a given day than a tech working for the big companies, meaning more time spent on your pool. I spend an average of 32 minutes at my pools, while the average at other companies is 13 minutes.
There’s no office staff to get through, just me. You’ll have access to me personally at all times when you have a concern, question or emergency.
I have more experience than most pool techs working at the big companies (with high turnover, the average tech in your backyard has less than a year of experience).
You’ll have the cleanest pool, hands down.
You’ll have the most balanced water chemistry, hands down.
You’ll have the most optimally functioning equipment, hands down.
You’ll get the fastest response times, hands down.
You get an instant post-service email with before and after photos of all completed work, exact chemical readings, exact chems used, photos of gates closed, etc.
All the bigger, routine jobs are included in the monthly fee (3-month filter cleans, monthly backwashes, monthly salt cell cleans).
On-the-way texts are sent out before arriving at the property, and can be responded to, to better coordinate the visit.
Free critter-catcher included with every new service account.
My first 20 customers get 25% off for the first year no matter what..bring on the inflation.
You get 1 month of free service for every friend you refer who signs up for service..no limit on the number of referrals I’ll discount.
And last, no risk because…
…if I fail to do any of these things you can cancel and get your last 3 months of service fees back.
And as a bonus, I have solved the top 3 customer complaints I heard all the time when I worked at the big companies:
Problem #1: I have a different pool guy every few weeks or months. I wish it was the same guy every time
Solution: It’ll be me every time.
Problem #2: My pool guy didn’t spend enough time on my pool. What did he even do?
Solution: I started my own company to yes, make money, but mostly to have more time and freedom. That means working fewer pools than I did at the big companies so that I can spend more quality time at each one.
My maximum clientele goal is 50 and no more..not 700. The difference with me is, when you call with a concern, a problem, a complaint, or an emergency you’re one of a very small club of clients and, thus, get my attention.
and finally…
Problem #3: The office doesn’t communicate well enough about when my pool guy is coming, when my service day changes, when repairs are happening, etc…
Solution: There is no office. There’s you and there’s me. I’ll make both of our lives easier and keep you in the loop.
The bottom line is that I spent years working for the biggest companies in Tucson. I saw how it’s done right and how it’s done wrong. While I’m grateful for the training I got with some of the best, I know how to improve on it.
Now that I’m on my own, I’m faster and more agile than the big guys and I retain the skills and experience I garnered there.
I can do anything they can do..just better, because I have fewer pools and more time, less overhead and more flexibility.
You’ll pay about the same and get so much more.
